What is Recycled Leather?
Bonded or reconstituted leather is made entirely from the off-cuts of leather from manufacturing processes like clothes, shoes and furniture. The wasted scraps and trimmings are shredded and made into a pulp and then embossed with a leather-like texture and colour. It is a great way to use materials that would have gone to landfill and helps promote awareness about our environment by using a recycled product. It is the perfect sustainable material to use in bag making without the high cost of using genuine leather.
